AGM , Foxy's Fiftieth , JSC Calendar 2017

A good evening last night with Ian Haskell after a swiftish AGM.

A "look at life film" of 60's military flying took us into the 1930 start, after drying our eyes.

Ian showed some remarkable air to ground shots of aircraft stored in the desert airfields of the USA and lots of others pics of surface features around the south or our coast.

His shortened quiz of ONLY 30 questions was completed after the consumption of mince pies and mulled wine, and won by John Baker with the Flood, Hore , Mason etc syndicate arrived second !

We presented Ian with a drinking mug that looks like a Camera lens, hope he uses the correct lens for whatever purpose he needs!

Your committee now consists of myself up front with my wife Elaine acting as treasurer.

Roger Dawe has moved to Membership Sec. and David Oswald retains his position as Events Coordinator .

Martyn Looker was awarded the JSC trophy for his outstanding volunteering in 2016, well done Martyn and many thanks.

We have a good sum in the bank and collected subs from 48 members last night as well as selling a beanie hat.

Money will soon be spent on the Seneca sim. and another pedal plane, hopefully a Gannet.

Next month Jan 23rd we will be entertained by Anne Hughes and David Collings talking of their restoration to flying condition of the first Beagle Pup .

In Feb. on the 25th Pete Allen will be playing his saxophones for a memorable evening of Jazz with his quartet.
