Poetry fest and Tomahawk
Hello JOYSTICKERS!
A very special night last night with the Vintage Aircraft Club, well organised by Anne Hughes, who gave a very entertaining presentation of Aviation Poetry with the help of three other readers, one of whom managed a superb American accent for one poem.
Steve Slater compèred the evening which attracted about 40 members.
You may be able to come to a future VAC poetry evening later in the year!
Steve invited us to bring our kit to the LAA Rally and the LAAs 70th anniversary event at Turweston on Saturday 8th October. The Rally might clash with Members Day so might not work, but the Turweston event is pencilled in as they hope to invite 70 children!
Maybe able to fly in as well.
Yesterday a team from Kover-it , the company that made the Tomahawk cover, came along and measured up for a proper cover to adorn our screens for the coming season!
See you Monday at 1815 for an hours DVD of the Aussie flying display at TEMORA last year before Ady Dolan gives his talk on "tales from LHR's new tower" at 1930.
Getting lighter !
